Is Streaming Video Games On A Gaming PC Easy?

This depends solely on you and your skill level and/or how confident you are in your ability to do it.

But allow me to add some positivity to your mind before my opening statement turns you off.

Get it?

Because a computer gets turned off😁

Capture Cards

In all honesty, I prefer to have a physical capture card versus trying to connect over my home network via Ethernet or through USB.

I take pride in the machines that I build so I always want to use every ounce of performance my computer has to offer while being efficient about it.

A capture card offers me just that. With a capture card, I can connect my streaming PC directly to my gaming PC to balance the workload.

But you don't need a two PC setup to stream. For close to a year I streamed with just one gaming PC using only one capture card to utilize my Canon M100 mirrorless camera.

In a two PC setup, the streaming PC will have two capture cards in it so you can connect your fancy DSLR or Mirrorless Camera into one and the second capture card is used to connect your gaming PC to it via HDMI.

The capture card that I use is the Elgato 4K60 Pro which if you click the link will direct you to the Amazon website where you can purchase it and in turn, I will receive a small commission from your purchase. So gracias very much for that😃

Live Stream Software

Open Broadcaster Software, best known as OBS studio, is the best and free streaming software on the market today. Hands down!

Did I mention it's free?

OBS allows you to do so much to make your stream visually appealing. You can add different layers, multiple scenes, and incorporate animations if you want.

It's insane how good this free piece of software is. OBS is most streamers' go-to streaming software of choice.

There is other streaming software out there as well with many of the big-name brands getting into the field of streaming software. Do your research on what would be a better fit for you.

Stream Deck

Okay, I will admit I honestly never thought that I would need or want a stream deck.

After setting up different hotkeys on my keyboard to Start/Stop my live streams and transitioning back and forth between my gameplay, my full picture shot, and my website advertisement I recognized right away the value that owning a Stream Deck offers me.

The Stream Deck that I own is the 6 button Stream Deck Mini and let me tell you how it's been a fantastic piece of hardware for me to conveniently do everything I described above, and more.

You can also assign different sounds at the push of a button!

Believe me when I say that it's one of those things you never knew you needed until you have it.

Just Be You

This last one is very important and should go without saying but many who try seem to have inner struggles that get in the way of their success.

There isn't a need to behave or act in a manner that is unnatural to you or fake.

There's no need for you to copy or mimic other people because they already exist.

What you should embrace is who you are. Your first few streams will be rough and bumpy but as you do it more and more you will find that you will have become comfortable and confident in yourself.

Focus on your strengths and work on your weaknesses and in time you will be all the better for it.

Your audience comes to see you for you so keep that in mind.

Acknowledge Your Audience

I always do my best to refer to my audience as Warriorenas and Warriorenes. I love it and they seem to love it as well. Notice how I emphasize acknowledging the ladies first followed by the gentlemen.

Also, if your audience is chatting with you take a moment when you can as your gaming to say hello or acknowledge any statements they may have shared with you. I promise you they'll love that you took the time to show them you cared enough to respond.

It's these small things that add up when building relationships and trust with your audience.

The feeling you get when you are having a conversation with someone from anywhere on the planet is indescribable. It's a feeling you need to experience for yourself and one that will leave you smiling and feeling good.

In Conclusion

Yes! Streaming on a Gaming PC is easy but all of the nuances that make streaming appear easy are not. It does require a bit of work on your part but nothing overly complex.

I have faith in you😉
